Trainee Fire Door Inspector

Description

Newlon Housing Trust is a successful charitable housing association and one of the major providers of new affordable housing in north and east London.

Working as part of our team and shadowing the Senior and Fire Door Inspectors, you will work to maintain our residents’ homes and will be trained in the management and inspection of fire doors and compartments, ensuring they are compliant and meet quality standards and specifications.

You will keep proficient records of all inspections, recommendations and remedial works and work collaboratively with internal teams and contractors to effectively resolve repairs and issues. You will also undertake smaller projects in relation to Fire Doors within Building Safety alongside your other duties.

You will be required to undertake training on job commencement or working towards the following qualifications: certified Level 3 Fire Door Inspection Scheme or equivalent. You will also ideally have experience of health and safety for residential buildings, be able to engage with customers/residents and demonstrate the flexibility to travel from site to site, where public transport is not always readily available.

In return, you can expect 27 days holiday, a non-contributory pension, excellent benefits, and a flexi scheme. You’ll also be working out of purpose-built offices that form part of the award-winning Hale Village regeneration project and are situated just two minutes’ walk from the major transport interchange at Tottenham Hale.
