Communications Officer
Description
Newlon Housing Trust is a successful charitable housing association and one of the major providers of new affordable housing in north and east London. And right now, we’re looking for a Communications Officer to join our busy communications team.
You will play a key role in developing and delivering our internal and external communications activities, making a vital contribution to maintaining and strengthening Newlon’s profile and business success.
You will be responsible for delivering a range of communications for residents, staff members and key stakeholders, ensuring that press enquiries are handled efficiently and professionally, and that Newlon’s communications, whether online or through newsletters, social media, press releases or other communications are effective and engaging.
Having previously worked in a role where you have demonstrated effective communications skills, you will have good all-round writing ability and be able to identify and utilise the most appropriate and effective means of communicating to diverse audiences. Able to manage multiple tasks at once without compromising quality, you will be customer-focused, able to work well within a team and be confident working with IT and web content management software packages.

We are currently introducing hybrid working with two days per week being office based and three days home-working for most roles. Our purpose-built offices form part of the award-winning Hale Village regeneration project, and are situated just two minutes’ walk from the major transport interchange at Tottenham Hale.
