Service Centre Advisor (fixed-term contract until March 2026)

Description

Newlon Housing Trust is a successful charitable housing association and one of the major providers of new affordable housing in north and east London.

Are you a “can do” person looking for an interesting opportunity to work within Newlon’s busy Customer Service Team?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Service Centre Advisor. You will work in our Service Centre delivering great customer service to our residents, internal and external customers. This role will allow you to develop a wide range of skills and knowledge in different areas.

Following our Newlon Way principles and values of service excellence, customer focus and efficiency, you will do your best to ensure that all issues and enquiries are dealt with quickly, effectively and the best solutions are offered to all customers.

With proven experience in a customer-focused environment, ideally gained in a fast-paced Housing Contact/Service/Call Centre, and first-class communication skills, you will have a strong team ethic and be able to listen carefully to, and fully understand, customer requests. You will be the first point of contact for our customers, so a polite, friendly and professional manner is essential. You will be methodical and able to work under pressure, with strong IT skills and the ability to use databases and manipulate data. Touch typing is desirable. You will need to be calm under pressure and be able to frequently manage multiple enquiries simultaneously to tight deadlines and targets.

In return, you can expect 27 days holiday, a non-contributory pension, excellent benefits and a flexi scheme. This role is office-based and you’ll also be working out of purpose-built offices that form part of the award-winning Hale Village regeneration project, and are situated just two minutes’ walk from the major transport interchange at Tottenham Hale.

Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.

To apply, please email your CV and supporting statement to recruit@newlon.org.uk

Closing date: 23:59 on Sunday 14 December 2025. However, the advert could close sooner if the right candidate is found.

Interviews will be held in person at our offices in Hale Village. Date to be confirmed.
