Procurement Officer

Description

Newlon Housing Trust is a successful charitable housing association and one of the major providers of new affordable housing in north and east London.

We have an opportunity for an experienced procurement professional to join our team and assist in implementing Newlon’s procurement strategy and plans. Assisting the Procurement Manager, and deputising for them in their absence, you will lead on all operational procurement activity, including competitive tendering, stakeholder management, reporting and contract processes. You will assist in determining the best procurement route for given requirements, ensuring an effective fit with company objectives and compliance with all relevant legislation.

With substantial knowledge and experience gained in an environment governed by the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and proven experience managing end-to-end procurement processes, you will be a confident communicator who is able to challenge existing practices and influence teams in a positive and productive way. You will be MCIPS qualified, or willing to work towards. You will be expected to be able to run sub-FTS procurement processes independently, therefore first class organisation and presentation skills are essential, along with the ability to use your own initiative and write, review and deliver tenders and reports.

In return, you can expect 27 days holiday, a non-contributory pension, excellent benefits and a flexi scheme.  You’ll also be working out of purpose-built offices that form part of the award-winning Hale Village regeneration project, and are situated just two minutes’ walk from the major transport interchange at Tottenham Hale.

To apply, please email your CV with a supporting statement explaining how you meet the criteria to recruit@newlon.org.uk by the closing date.
