Complex Repairs Officer
Description
Newlon Housing Trust is a successful charitable housing association and one of the major providers of new affordable housing in north and east London.
You will be responsible for carrying out a range of duties to support an effective Repairs service for all Newlon residents. You will assist senior repairs staff to ensure that Awaab’s Law is delivered to a high standard and that compliance duties are met. You will also coordinate and oversee work tasks within the Property Services Department to make sure any open jobs are completed within specified targets and closed out in line with repairs standards. In this role, you will play a key part in managing complex, high-risk repairs, including damp and mould, disrepair, insurance claims, and decant cases.
You will act as the case manager, coordinating between residents, contractors, surveyors, legal teams, and the Service Centre. You will ensure cases progress in line with strict timescales, including Awaab’s Law requirements. You will maintain accurate case records, communication, and compliance trackers. You will support surveyors by managing the administrative and resident-facing elements of complex cases, allowing them to focus on technical inspections and solutions.

Although Newlon is able to offer some posts the benefit of hybrid working (a minimum of two days in the office), this role is not eligible for that benefit as the post holder is expected to be in the office at least 4 days a week.
