Would you like to be part of the government’s Social Housing Quality Resident Panel?

4th Apr 2022

On the 29th March 2022, the government launched the Social Housing Quality Resident Panel.

This is in direct response to the White Paper and in particular the section about amplifying the voice of tenants. This new national residents’ panel is something that has long been called for by campaigners.

The Social Housing Quality Resident Panel will be made up of 250 social housing residents from across the country. These residents will come together to share their views directly with the government and ministers about how to improve the quality of social housing.

The government has said it will hold “at least” six meetings, which are expected to take place online, roughly three times a year.

Any social housing resident can apply to be on the panel, and online applications are open until the 29th April 2022.
