Newlon appoints Sarah Wall as Chair of the Board
8th Oct 2026
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Sarah Wall as the Chair of the Newlon Board.
Sarah joins us in succession to Aman Dalvi OBE, who steps down at the end of his term in December.
Sarah has extensive Board level experience, including with the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH).
She has also sat on a range of housing boards and was a founding Board member of Sparrow Shared Ownership, which was set up by pension fund USS in 2024. USS invests on behalf of around 500,000 university staff and pensioners and Sparrow achieved the highest regulatory gradings last year.
Her executive career has focused on managing large pension funds invested in social infrastructure and affordable housing. Sarah currently chairs the Credit Committee for the £6bn Affordable Homes Guarantee Scheme 2020, delivered via Venn Partners.
She has also worked as a Board-level senior consultant for Campbell Tickell, advising social housing providers on governance and regulatory inspection preparation. Her particular expertise has been in advising growing organisations involved in both commercial and social housing activities with similar profiles to Newlon. She has also advised growing pension funds and insurers on investment, governance and risk management, most recently through consultancy Ilex Associates.
Having lived and worked in and around London for almost 30 years Sarah is deeply committed to solving the capital’s housing crisis. She has a particular interest in care and support within London.
Ruth Davison, Newlon Chief Executive, commented:
“I am delighted that Sarah is joining us, her passion for communities, coupled with her extensive regulatory, commercial and stakeholder experience, make her the ideal person to ensure we can continue to successfully navigate the current complex operating environment.”
Sarah Wall commented:
“I was drawn to Newlon because of the great diversity of people they employ and work with, their community and care and support focus, as well as the commitment to regeneration and providing new affordable homes.”
