Fire Door Inspector – Building Services

Description

Newlon Housing Trust is a successful charitable housing association and one of the major providers of new affordable housing in north and east London.

Working as part of our team, you will take responsibility for the management of fire doors, ensuring they are compliant and validated and repaired within agreed timescales. You will keep proficient records of all inspections, recommendations and remedial works and work collaboratively with internal teams and contractors to effectively resolve repairs and issues. Reporting to the Senior Fire Door Inspector, you will ensure that our identified high risk building’s fire doors are managed and maintained in accordance with the Building Safety Act.

You will ideally be certified Level 3 Fire Door Inspection Scheme or equivalent. You will preferably have a health and safety or Fire qualification (NEBOSH or Fire Management). Having previously worked in a similar role working with compliance or health and safety for residential buildings, you will have up to date knowledge of current housing related legislation and have experience of working with High Rise Residential buildings.

In return, you can expect 27 days holiday, a non-contributory pension, excellent benefits, and a flexi scheme. You’ll also be working out of purpose-built offices that form part of the award-winning Hale Village regeneration project and are situated just two minutes’ walk from the major transport interchange at Tottenham Hale.
