Towpath Walk serious incident

We are profoundly saddened and shocked by the tragic loss of a young boy in Towpath Walk, Hackney a few days ago. Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with everyone affected, especially his family and friends at this incredibly difficult time. We remain committed to helping where we can and are working closely with the police on their ongoing enquiries.

  • If you have any information about the incident, please contact the police on 101 and quote CAD 6692/25MAY. Any information that you can provide will help the police’s investigation. Alternatively, you can call independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on: 0800 555 111

  • If you are a parent, carer or member of the community and have any concerns about a young person, groups of young people, or a location where you feel children are unsafe and would like guidance and support, contact the Council’s First Access & Screening Team (FAST) on: 020 8356 5500 (out of hours: 020 8356 2710) or at: fast@hackney.gov.uk. FAST links professionals from our children and families services and the police, health and probation service to support young people and families in need.
