Do you live in Haringey? Thinking about downsizing? A new opportunity in Tottenham Hale

6th Jul 2025

Are you aged 55 or over and currently living in a three-bedroom or larger home? Now could be the perfect time to consider downsizing—and moving into a brand-new, beautifully designed home built with your needs in mind.

Haringey Council is developing Wingspan Walk, a stunning new scheme of 276 council homes located just north of Down Lane Park in Tottenham Hale. As part of this development, two entire blocks—comprising 119 homes—will be reserved exclusively for residents aged 55 and over.

These homes are a mix of one- and two-bedroom flats, all designed with accessibility and comfort in mind. Features include:

  • Level-access showers and, in many cases, wet rooms
  • Energy-efficient Passivhaus design, using just 30% of the energy of a typical new build
  • Photovoltaic panels generating up to 55% of the homes’ annual energy needs
  • Beautiful landscaping and high-quality finishes

The first homes will be ready to move into by October 2025.

This is a fantastic opportunity for older residents who may be under-occupying larger homes to move into a more manageable, modern space—while helping to free up family-sized homes for others in need.
