Creative Excel: Free courses available now

2nd Feb 2015

Igniting a passion for creative Excel skills in East London!

London is filled with job opportunities for people who are confident working with computers. Creative Excel’s goal is to provide residents little or no experience working in this area with an enjoyable introduction to these opportunities.

Aimed at adults of all ages living in or near Tower Hamlets, Creative Excel is a series of FREE labs designed to provide a fun, hands-on introduction to data analysis and programming using Microsoft Excel.

Each lab will be a self-contained lesson led by a talented professional and will introduce participants to some of the most marketable skills in the industry. Participants will leave the workshops with an appreciation for the type of creative work that is possible through software, the confidence to approach challenging problems, and a better CV to show to prospective employers.

Example labs include:

  • Predict the football scores
  • Create art with Excel
  • Teach a computer to play ‘Guess Who?’

The schedule for the first three labs is below:

Monday, 16th Feb, 6pm-9pm
Monday, 23rd Feb, 6pm-9pm
Monday, 2nd Mar, 6pm-9pm

Location: John Scurr Community Centre, 1a Bekesbourne Street, London, E14 7JQ – next to Limehouse DLR.

Registration for places is open now. For more information just email info@newlonfusion.org.uk  or call 020 7790 3133.
