Technical Manager

Providing 8,000 affordable homes across north and east London, Newlon Housing Trust is a fast-growing and award-winning charitable housing association. Our residents are at the heart of everything we do, and we are committed to delivering high quality services to meet their needs.

As Technical Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and promoting excellence in the design and construction of our projects, driving the innovative use of materials, design and construction methods. A key priority for you will be to enable the Trust to deliver on our commitment to move towards zero defects and assist in developing energy and sustainability briefs for new developments.

This is a challenging and exciting role, where your eye for detail and tenacity will be key in ensuring the consistency of construction and that all opportunities for efficiencies and innovation are explored to maximise customer satisfaction.

Having previously worked in a similar technical role in residential development, you will be a qualified surveyor or architect or be educated to degree level in a related discipline. You will also have detailed knowledge of the technical and quality requirements of high density residential developments including Build Regulations and CDM 2015 and be confident in leading a team and in identifying issues and finding innovative solutions to meet our customer needs and the needs of the Trust.

In return, you can expect 27 days holiday, a non-contributory pension, excellent benefits and a flexi-time scheme. You’ll be working at our purpose-built offices that form part of the award-winning Hale Village regeneration project and situated just two minutes’ walk from the major transport interchange at Tottenham Hale.
