Overview of proposals

Newlon Housing Trust is working in partnership with Haringey Council, bptw architects and developers United House on proposals to regenerate the historic Tottenham Town Hall and the former Clyde Road Depot site at the rear.

Getting your views

We want to make sure that we take on the views of as many local people as possible about the proposals for the Town Hall site. This process started with an Open Consultation day at the Town Hall on Wednesday 12th December and was followed by a further public consulation day on Saturday 2nd February.

The views of local residents, community groups and businesses are vital to making the regeneration of this historic site a success - so thanks to everyone who came along and gave us their opinions. We are now working through the feedback before submitting our formal planning application. If you were unable to make it to either consultation day you can checkout the proposals here.

If you have any comments or questions or would like any further information you can contact us by e-mailing: tth@newlon.org.uk or tth@haringey.gov.uk.

What is proposed?

The proposals provide for the renovation and restoration of the Town Hall building as well as providing much needed affordable housing and new space for local businesses. They will help contribute to the ongoing regeneration of Tottenham.

In the Town Hall: The Moselle Room will be retained for public use with the addition of proper lift access. The remainder of the Town Hall building will be converted into small Business Units.

To the rear of the Town Hall: A courtyard space will be created to provide access to the adjoining Bernie Grant Arts Centre.

On the old Depot site: 150 new homes are planned - 60% of these will be affordable housing stock managed by Newlon Housing Trust. The workshop units currently standing on the south edge of the depot site will be renovated and retained.

What happens next?

Now the Consulation process has been completed we will incorporate feedback from local people, businesses and community groups into the exisisting proposals before submitting a formal Planning Application.
