Arsenal Regeneration Team

The Arsenal regeneration project isn’t just about building a spectacular new stadium for Arsenal FC. And it’s not just about providing 1,200 new affordable homes. It’s also about the complete regeneration and revitalisation of a large area of North London.

To do this, Newlon has partnered with the London Borough of Islington and Arsenal FC to create ART – the Arsenal Regeneration Team.

The idea is to harness the social and regeneration opportunities to reflect the aspirations of the local communities.

The scope of the project is far-reaching. Along with the new homes, there is lots of new commercial space available for offices, shops, cafes and other businesses; new health and children’s centres, a new high tech waste and recycling centre, improvements to the local road network and train stations and an estimated 1,800 new long term jobs.

There is also support for local businesses, many new public spaces and additional community facilities, and community sports and arts programmes.
