If you live in Buxhall Crescent you can take part in Newlon Fusion’s new project to get you more involved in your local area through a new blog, newspaper, walks, gardening skills, photography, recipe swaps and a communal lunch.

Artist Lucy Harrison, in partnership with SPACE will be working with you to produce three publications on your lives and experiences living in this part of London, focusing on your skills, hobbies and interests. SPACE is a visual arts organisation based in Hackney. The Buxhall Bee is commissioned and project managed by SPACE with funding from the Arts Council, England, and Newlon Fusion. To find out more about what SPACE do please visit www.spacestudios.org.uk.

It is hoped that by getting residents involved together you will be able to find out about your neighbours, learn new skills and take pride in your own interests. There will also be a social side to the project where you will be able to take part in events such as nature and history walks, Music Exchanges and a Photo Shoot.

The Buxhall Bee Newspaper will be designed and produced by Lucy over the next few months which will include information about your lives on the estate. You can view the first issue by clicking on the link below:

Events at Buxhall:

Library/Book Swap - Buxhall Bee Library is now open!
Following a suggestion from one Buxhall resident, Lucy Harrison has created a Library/Book Swap in the Community Room, Block 16-23 Buxhall Crescent.

There is a great selection of books so come along at the times stated below to swap your books that you no longer want. The only rule is that some kind of reading material must be left in exchange for the one you are taking!

If you have any books you no longer want why not bring them down and let your neighbours share them?

Open Wednesdays 5-6pm and Saturdays 3-4pm

Please note that the Library will be closed on Wednesday 20th January and Saturday 20th February.

To access the room from outside, knock on the door of block 16-23 or on the window to the left of the door.

For more information contact Lucy on 07964 878 315 or email buxhallbee@btinternet.com.
