Steve Akeju

Lead Member for Development & Design

Steve Akeju joined the Newlon Board in May 2007 and is currently a Development Executive responsible for Tesco London Mixed Use Projects. Steve previously worked in Housing for 14 years and has worked for a number of Housing Associations including Horizon Housing Group, Moat Housing Group and Tower Homes (part of London & Quadrant).

Steve has a development background and has worked on a number of housing regeneration projects in London. Prior to working for Tesco he was a Director at Horizon Housing Group, procuring and initiating new build developments and tendering and managing delivery of regeneration projects.

Steve is a Chartered Surveyor and is passionate about creating homes where people want to live.

He also enjoys tennis and swimming.
