Becoming a new landlord

You can lease a property to Newlon by following five simple steps.

1. Contact us
The first thing you need to do is to get in touch and register your property details.  Please use any of the following numbers/emails to get in touch with us:

Carolyne Cole, Property Services Officer - 020 7613 7598 - carolyne.cole@newlon.org.uk

Sharon Watson, Property & Void Coordinator: 020 7613 8009 - sharon.watson@newlon.org.uk

Theresa Griffith, Team Leader: 020 7613 8026 - theresa.griffith@newlon.org.uk

You can also email manserv@newlon.org.uk or call the group number, which is 020 7613 7488.

After discussing our requirements, we will arrange to inspect your property.

2. Inspection
We will visit your property to confirm that it is suitable and discuss the benefits of the scheme. Our officer will be able to answer any questions that you may have and take you through the details of any works that need to be completed. The officer will also explain the type(s) of scheme(s) we have and advise you of the rent payable.

3. Letter of Offer
A letter confirming our offer will be sent to you within five working days of the visit to the property. If you are happy with our offer, you will need to sign the acceptance form and return it to us. The letter will detail any work that needs to be done. We will only be able to take the property on if the works are complete within agreed timescales.

4. Final inspection
When you have completed the works we will carry out a final inspection. At this stage we will take photographs of the property and complete a condition schedule. You will also need to supply us with certificates confirming that the property has a valid CP12 (gas safety certificate) and NICEIC (electric certificate).

5. Signing the lease
When your property has passed the final inspection and you have provided us with all the documentation, we will ask you to sign the lease.
